Ron Di Chario

NORCROSS AVIATION is extremely proud and pleased to introduce our President, Ronald Di Chario.
As a young boy learning his father’s business, Ron pursued his love of building design and construction. He started working at the very young age of 14 along side his father; Anthony, learning the construction trades such as masonry and carpentry skills. He continued his work in construction and in 1969 formed his commercial contracting company, Norcross Construction Corporation, which builds and designs properties in the commercial market. He obtained his bachelor’s degree of Building Construction and Design at the Rochester Institute of Technology attending evening classes. He started buying and rehabbing residential properties and moved on to purchasing commercial properties within the City of Rochester.
Ron obtained his love of flying in 1966 when a friend of his took him for an airplane ride. Working diligently over the years, Ron has earned himself the ratings of Private Pilot - Single Engine Land; Multi Engine Land; Instrument Rated Pilot; Commercial Pilot; Rotorcraft – through his CFI; A & P mechanic and his newest accomplishment; Airline Transport Pilot (Captain) in the CE 550-560 series (Citation). He has amassed over 9,000 hours of flight time with over half that time being logged as Instructor Pilot.
Ron formed Norcross Helicopters in 1974, obtaining the Enstrom Helicopter NE Dealership and factory approved service center. Since that time the company has bought and sold helicopters throughout the Northeast and abroad. Expanding beyond the sales-service-instruction and charter of piston helicopters; the company has also been involved in the turbine helicopter market owning; operating and selling, Bell Textron helicopters such as the BII; BIII; Long Ranger. The company will be receiving a brand new Bell 407 with an expected delivery date in early 2007.
His love of flying directed his attention to land around the airport. He purchased his first property adjacent to Rochester’s airport in 1975 and moved his business operations to their newly built offices; complete with a private hangar and FAA approved heliport.
From 1975 to 2002 he built and developed the property known as the Air Park- East Office Complex, consisting of seven (7) buildings housing numerous businesses in the office and flex/distribution real estate market with over 200,000 square feet. Ron’s commercial real estate company; Chris-Cyn Realty owned and managed the properties. In 2001 a brand new Class A office building was built and after 25 years in their offices the businesses relocated to the 4th floor of the 90 Air Park Drive property; known as Air Park West.
Ron enjoys spending time with his wife, Colleen, their children and grandchildren. His hobbies include exercising and biking; traveling; flying; reading; building and car collecting.
Christine Di Chario
Vice President of Operations
NORCROSS AVIATION would like to introduce our Vice President of Operations, Christine Di Chario. Chris joined the family business in 1985 and has grown into her responsibilities over the 22+ years she has been with the company.
Not being one to sit back and watch she took the initiatives to follow in her father, Ron’s footsteps. She has taken on the challenge of learning all aspects of their businesses, including learning masonry skills and has been out in the field operating heavy equipment; pouring concrete and managing their projects helping to build their commercial property portfolio.
Her main responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of all of their companies operations. She is extensively involved in their commercial real estate company, Chris-Cyn Realty, which owns and manages several properties in the area. She attended school part time while working to obtain her Business Management and Real Estate Management certificates. She also holds a NYS Real Estate Broker license.
Chris is also an integral part of their aviation company, Norcross Aviation. She has bought and sold aircraft, along with being directly responsible for the operations of their charter services. She manages and maintains the company’s F.A.A. Part 135 Air Taxi Charter Certificate; serving as the primary liaison between the company and Federal Aviation Administration. Chris herself has started her own logbook and has accumulated piston and turbine rotorcraft flight time and looks forward to completing her flight training in order to obtain her license.
In her spare time, Chris is dedicated to working with animals; specifically dog obedience training. She has spent hundred of hours with her German Shepherd Dog, Lacoda, and together they have earned the Temperament Title; Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog titles. They are certified as a Pet Assisted Therapy team visiting hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, along with presenting dog safety programs to children and schools throughout the area. She has also been active in dog rescue and adoptions. She and her daughter also own a German Shepherd Dog, Barrick and a Golden Retriever, Cody, who were dogs in dire need of their rescue and love.
Chris resides in Greece, with her daughter, Brianna. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, family and friends; running; exercising; motorcycling; scuba diving; flying, reading and traveling; along with volunteering her time and talents to help those less fortunate within her community.
Colleen Di Chario
Financial Director
NORCROSS AVIATION is pleased to introduce our Financial Director, Colleen Di Chario. Colleen's responsibilities include general office management; accounting; payroll; assisting in charter duties and management, along with overseeing the daily office operations.
Colleen brings 8 years of legal secretarial experience prior to joining our company and has been a part of Norcross Aviation since 1998.
Colleen lives in Greece with her husband Ron and daughter Danielle. Colleen enjoys spending time with her family; exercising; biking; traveling and gourmet cooking.
Gary Black
Director of Charter
NORCROSS AVIATION is pleased to present our Director of Charters, Mr. Gary Black.
Gary was born and raised in Niagara Falls Ontario, Canada and relocated his residence to the New York area in 1986. A resident in the Canandaigua area since that time, He joined Norcross Aviation in 2001.
Gary has been focusing on charter operation services and sales. Because of his complete dedication to providing professional services from start to finish, Gary has accumulated a following of clients that never hesitate to contact him for all their air charter needs. He recently assisted in writing and formatting the company’s F.A.A. Part 135 Charter Operations Certificate working closely with the F.A.A. and our Director of Operations.
In addition to his responsibilities to the charter department; Gary is also trained in computer program design and implementation. He is responsible for all technology computer design; updating and program management. Wanting to expand his knowledge in the technical industry; he is busy learning more about website design and management and will be taking on the responsibility of the company’s web needs.
Gary’s second career love is as an avid professional photographer. He has had his pictures published and has provided professional photography services for special events (weddings, parties) as well as for various marketing and sales advertisements. His hobbies include car collecting; traveling; designing and building custom computer systems; photography; bowling (2-300 games) and skiing. Gary and his wife Brenda make their home in the Rochester area.
